Open the Casualties: Unknown Demo page on Steam and select Install Demo. If you start in a browser, continue in the Steam client, then choose your library location in the installation dialog.
The demo is Steam app 4576510. The full game has a separate listing, app 4576490.

The announced game languages are English and Simplified Chinese. This guide’s language options do not add languages to the game. Fan translations have their own version and installation requirements.
What can you play?
The free demo offers five layers, out of the full game’s planned eleven. Layers 6–11 and the three announced full-game endings are not promised as demo content. See the version comparison for the planned additions.
For your first descent, keep the Dressing recipe and bleeding guide handy: making the item and treating the limb are separate actions.
Full-game release and price
The announced release is 9 November 2026 at 15:00 CET (22:00 in Singapore). The announced US price is US$22.99, with a 15% launch discount. Check Steam for your regional checkout price; these figures are not local-currency prices.
The demo will receive no further updates, according to the release announcement. That does not confirm demo removal or save transfer to the full game.
